Emotional Gut Shots and other Hazards of Public Defense

I’m spending more time with the conflict defenders now that the bar is over.  Fridays are mostly domestic violence cases, and this morning was remarkably slow for a Friday.  Several defendants had private attorneys, so I got to sit back and watch a lot more than normal.  It was sort of relaxing.

Informational Interview; the real blog

Almost exactly one year ago, I started to write a blog about informational interviews and it turned into a blog about turtles. *

I’m back into the informational interview phase.  This time around, the focus is networking for people who will actually hire me, as opposed to taking on an intern, so the entire process is more intensive.
